This tutorial presents how to use the techniques of V&V, including simulation, early in the lifecycle to enhance the probability of success of the program by identifying errors early in the development and preparing for the V&V activities later in the lifecycle.

Discription: The ever-shrinking information technology (IT) budget dictates the need for IT solutions and systems to align with budgets. Industry as well as government reports indicate system failures are due to usability issues requiring updates, redesign, and in cases, complete replacement. This workshop identifies the core cognitive principles that when properly applied, enhance user acceptance and the usability of systems. The session will also present a framework for conducting user interface analysis.

INCOSE Washington metro Area Chapter will provide a workshop on Systems Engineering Professional credentials. INCOSE has established a multi-level Professional SEP Certification Program to provide a formal method for recognizing the knowledge and experience of systems engineers, regardless of where they may be in their career. In this workshop an overview of the different levels of certifications and their qualifications will be presented. Two of the three certification levels require a knowledge test based on the INCOSE Systems Engineering Body of Knowledge (SEBOK). The SEBOK processes will be discussed at the workshop.

This workshop is part of a series of INCOSE WMA SEP Preparation series and free for both INCOSE members and non-members. Please join us at the event and get valuable insights from the presenters on preparing and passing the SEP exams.
